Step-by-Step Assembly Instructions
- Apply a thin, even layer of thermal grease to the cold side of the cooling module.
- Flip the module over and attach it firmly to the aluminum panel, cold side facing down.
- Apply thermal grease evenly to the hot side of the cooling module.
- Gently mount the water-cooling block onto the hot side.
- Place the base plate on top of the assembly.
- Insert the mounting screws through the aluminum plate, aligning with the holes.
- Tighten both screws with a screwdriver — apply consistent, even pressure and do not overtighten to avoid damaging the cooling module.
- Install the cold-side 40mm fan and secure with the four fan screws. If abnormal noise occurs on startup, loosen the fan screws slightly to adjust.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is a Peltier cooler kit and how does it work?
A: A Peltier cooler kit uses a thermoelectric module (in this case, the TEC1-12706) that transfers heat from one side to the other when an electric current is applied. The cold side draws heat away from the target area, while the hot side dissipates that heat — delivering efficient, quiet, refrigerant-free cooling for small spaces like pet beds, food storage areas, and electronics cooling setups.
Q: What power supply do I need for this Peltier cooler kit?
A: This DIY Peltier cooler kit requires a 12V DC power supply with a maximum power draw of 72W. Ensure your power source can handle at least 72W for optimal and safe performance.
Q: Can I use this kit for a pet cooling bed or food storage?
A: Yes! The HpLive Peltier cooler kit is specifically designed for small-space cooling applications including pet cooling beds, food storage bowls and boxes, wine cellars, and computer heatsinks. Its compact, fully sealed design makes it versatile for many DIY cooling projects.
Q: Is this kit difficult to assemble?
A: The kit comes with all necessary hardware and clear step-by-step instructions. With basic DIY skills and the included components (cooling blocks, fan, thermal grease, and screws), most users can complete the assembly straightforwardly. Refer to the assembly guide above for detailed guidance.
